How a price works
A price belongs to a race, and it may narrow to one category — juniors at half price, members cheaper than visitors.
A row with no category is what everybody else pays.
Early bird is not a setting
It is a price that closes and another that opens. Give the early price an end date and the standard price a start date. That is the whole mechanism, and it means you can have as many stages as you like.
When two rows both apply
They are settled in this order, so an entrant never loses a coin toss:
- The row naming a category wins over the row that names none.
- Then the lowest order.
- Then the cheaper of the two.
Taking the money
Fees are collected through the club's own payment account. Nothing touching a card number passes through Podium.
The Club tab shows the state:
- connected — fees are being collected.
- connected, not yet taking payments — the account exists but charges are not enabled on it, usually details the payment provider still wants. Finish their setup.
- not connected — online entry still works, there is simply nothing to collect a fee with. Ask RFID Timing to set it up.
What the event is owed
Above the entrants list, when anything is priced: how many still owe, and how much. Hidden entirely when nothing is priced, so a free race is never shown a debt of nothing.
Only settled payments count. An attempt that never completed is not money anybody is owed.
Taking a payment at the desk
Somebody who entered online without paying, or who is entering on the day, can be marked as paid against their entry.
